    Morocco-Indonesia Joint Committee: Signature in Jakarta of Five Cooperation Agreements

    Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Mounia Boucetta and Indonesia's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdurrahman Mohammad Fachir signed, on Friday in Jakarta, five agreements and memoranda for the promotion of bilateral cooperation in several sectors.

    The agreements, inked within the framework of the 2nd Session of the Morocco-Indonesia Joint Committee held in Jakarta on Oct. 25-26, focus on energy cooperation and visa exemption for diplomatic and service passports.

    The two parties also signed two memoranda of understanding on cooperation in the field of religious affairs and the fight against illegal trafficking of psychotropic drugs, and a third on cooperation between the Moroccan Academy of Diplomatic Studies (AMED) and the Education and Training Center of the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry.

    Speaking at a press conference after the signing ceremony, Fachir welcomed the fostering of the Moroccan-Indonesian cooperation, emphasizing the need to explore the significant business potential of the two countries through studies and visits by professionals and operators from both parties.

    Boucetta expressed her satisfaction with the success of this second session of the Joint Commission and reaffirmed Morocco's commitment to carrying out concrete and achievable actions, with the help of the embassies of the two countries to boost bilateral cooperation.
