Morocco, Quebec To Continue Efforts for Setting Up Direct Flights

Rabat - Tourism Minister Mohamed Sajid met, on Monday in Rabat, with Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier (youth), Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Tourism Samuel Poulin, during which it was agreed to continue efforts to establish direct flights between Quebec and some Moroccan cities.

According to a statement from the Ministry, the two parties also agreed to strengthen relations between the two countries, mainly in the field of vocational training in the hotel industry, as well as the sharing of expertise in the field of tourism.

On this occasion, Sajid stressed the need to establish direct flights between Morocco and Quebec to strengthen tourism traffic, particularly for the benefit of the Moroccan community living in Canada, welcoming the distinguished relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The minister also surveyed the results of cooperation between the two countries, notably in the fields of air transportation, stressing the need for the reopening of the office of the Moroccan Tourism Office in Montreal to promote the Moroccan destination among Canadian tourists.

For his part, Poulin expressed the will to reinforce cooperation relations between the two countries in the fields of tourism and air transportation, insisting on the need to promote the creation of direct flights.
