Morocco: Zero inflation on fruits and vegetables at the beginning of Ramadan

15 May 2019

The SOCIM market, also known as the 'Moroccan Market', is well supplied with basic necessities (rice, sugar, milk) and especially fruit and vegetables imported from the neighbouring kingdom.

The regularity of trucks from Agadir and other production centres has made it possible to maintain prices at the beginning of Ramadan. Vegetable and fruit prices remained stable.

Five days after the beginning of Ramadan, there is no inflation on the prices of foodstuffs and especially fruit and vegetables from Morocco and some other countries in the sub-region.
