    Number of Fully Vaccinated People Reaches 14.6 Million in Morocco

    The new data shows that the number of daily COVID-19 cases has decreased compared to the past few weeks.

    Rabat - Morocco’s fully vaccinated population reached 14,629,875 as of August 30.

    The number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine now stands at 18,379,071, the Ministry of Health announced today.

    Meanwhile, the number of daily COVID-19 cases lowered compared to the past few weeks, when the country was reporting at least 9,000 infections every day.

    In the past 24 hours, Morocco recorded 2,676 cases, bringing the country’s total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 856,049.

    The nationwide COVID-19 death toll reached 12,540 after 103 died in the past 24 hours.

    The number of active COVID-19cases stands at 55,715 as of today. Of these, 2,524 people are in critical condition, according to the health ministry’s latest update.

    In the past 24 hours, Morocco also recorded 7,360 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered people to 787,794.

    In the meantime, the country’s fatality rate reached 1.5% while its recovery rate is 92%.

    In terms of the regional distribution of COVID-19 cases, Rabat-Sale-Kenitra recorded the most cases (794 cases and 14 deaths) in the past 24 hours.

    The Oriental recorded 501 cases and eight deaths, followed by Tangier-Tetouan Al Hoceima (388 cases, nine deaths), and Casablanca-Settat (325 cases, 20 deaths).
