Rabat - Low cost company Wizz Air will relaunch the air route between Warsaw and Marrakech on December 17.

The company will operate between the two destinations with two flights per week on Mondays and Fridays.

The relaunch of the direct link is the culmination of a new partnership between the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) and Wizz Air.

The program will cover the 2021-22 winter season until the end of March 2022, with the possibility of renewal for the summer season in 2022, ONMT said in a statement.

The launch of the new flight came after a few years of suspension due to COVID-19.

According to MAP, Morocco’s state-owned media, the resumption of the air route between Marrakech and Warsaw will boost the presence of Morocco on the Polish market as well as in Eastern Europe.

Morocco will also seek to strengthen its position in the Polish market with the new services that are set to connect Morocco and other Polish cities.

MAP said that the new air services will resume operations on October 31 and November 5, with the aim of strengthening tourist activities across Morocco.

Polish tour operator Rainbow announced a flight connecting Warsaw to Agadir starting on October 31.

Another flight will also serve the Agadir-Krakow air route during the winter season.
