Royal Air Maroc said the postponement will be in order until further notice.

30 Nov 2021

Rabat - Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc has officially postponed its first Casablanca-Tel Aviv direct flight that was initially scheduled for December 12, saying the flight will be scheduled for a later date.

In a statement published earlier today, Royal Air Maroc cited the evolution of the health situation due to the outbreak of the rapid spread of Omicron, the new COVID variant, as the main reason for the postponement.

“The postponement comes following the decision of the Moroccan authorities to suspend all direct passenger flights to Morocco, for a period of two weeks” due to concerns over Omicron, said the statement.

Royal Air Maroc said it is setting up a special system to support its customers in the management of their trips.

Customers will be able to postpone their trip to a later date until January 31, without penalties and with possible application of price difference.

Customers can also cancel flights in exchange for a vouchert of the same value as the ticket, valid for 12 months and to be used exclusively on RAM flights.

Royal Air Maroc invited customers to ask for more information at 088000080 or its international number: +212522489797.

The new direct air route between Casablanca and Tel Aviv will initially serve the destination three times a week, with Royal Air Maroc promising to later increase the frequencies to five in total.
