Later this year, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts will expand its global footprint with the launch of Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr in Morocco. The upcoming property will occupy a sprawling 19th-century palace, restored by META Atelier d'Architecture and Nazarian Architecture, located across a 12-acre cliffside setting in the North African country’s capital.

“Our design draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of the destination, capturing the essence of Moroccan Art Deco and culture while creating a space that is both authentic and modern,” says Roger Nazarian, founder and architect of Nazarian Architecture. “The vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and elegant geometric shapes of the Moroccan Art Deco style captivated us and have been reflected in our design.”

Artfully illuminated by stained glass windows, custom zellige tiles will adorn the hotel’s walls and floors. Brass and copper detailing will be applied to fixtures and furnishings to infuse the clean, minimalist palette with a sense of warmth.

Among the public spaces will be seven restaurants and lounges, a spa, expansive conference and event facilities, an indoor pool, and several resort-style outdoor pools. Each of the 204 luxe guestrooms and suites will overlook the Atlantic Ocean as well.
